The metal steps are part of the hiking trail through the wild and romantic Felsental valley, a section of the Lion's Trail "Geislinger Felsen-Tour." They are located at the end of the valley, where the valley narrows considerably and the rock faces rise steeply. The steps help you safely negotiate a particularly steep section.

Very nice route, the road is not very busy, in the direction of Geislingen the cycle path is gravelled and to the right of the road leads directly past the Roggenmühle, which has very good food.

Two steel ladders help to compensate for the difference in height. In summer you often see bikers carrying their MTB shoulders and conquering these ladders.

Super nice tour through the Felsental. At the end you just have to go up a steel staircase and then you can move on again. With the cold today, that was too much for me. But I'll definitely come back here in the spring.

A stop at the Obere Roggenmühle is recommended. There are fresh trout there - closed on Monday and Tuesday.
