Simmersfeld's "landmark" that can be seen from afar. The Protestant church was built in 1886-1889 in neo-Romanesque style. In front of it stands a memorial to those who fell in the First World War.

The former Sebastian Church was built here in the center of Simmersfeld around 1100. By 1885, however, the church building had become so dilapidated that it had to be demolished. Four years later, St. John's Church was completed and still stands here today. An archway from the earlier church was reused at the entrance.

A water wheel was built here in memory of the Upper Sawmill. Today it is a lovely resting place on the Zugbach.

There is a wooden bridge for pedestrians, vehicles have to go through the ford.

Very beautiful dammed forest stream in a very quiet forest area. It's wonderfully beautiful here even in winter.

A small ford and wooden bridge over the Schneitbach stream near the Lenzzinsmühle. When approaching the ford from the direction of Simmersfeld, the wooden bridge is only visible at the last moment, so at first you think you have to cross the stream.
