In winter, there is a ski lift and starting point for several cross-country ski trails and a road junction open all year round. The descent into the Hundsbachtal is long and beautiful and since the road has been renovated, it's really fun! Unfortunately, the Gründerzeit Hundseck Hotel is falling into disrepair, what a pity!

The partially demolished spa house is one of the witnesses to the past glory of the Black Forest High Road. The “room available” sign on this ruin is macabre.
