Can see the well preserved platforms from the former station which closed in 1962. Today provides convenient seating, parking, and bike access to the excellent Cole Green Way route.

Edwardian country home of playwright, politician and philosopher George Bernard Shaw, with Arts and Crafts features and collection and a Tranquil garden with rolling lawns, vibrant summer borders, a fruit orchard and Shaw’s iconic rotating writing hut. Ayot Greenway is a wonderful off-road link out of Welwyn Garden City toward the Chilterns, which can be subsequently combined with The Nickey Line.

Compact gravel and dirt which can be done on road bikes if not raining. Ok if it's wet, but if it's raining or just after a rain, it can be tricky on slick tires as it can gets slippery.
