Nice cycleway, well used, but not overcrowded and away from traffic noise

Bitton Station part of the Heritage Avon railway Valley line. well worth a stop

The old railway, which still has some use, widens at this point. Several trains and carriages can be seen parked up. It is part of the Bristol & Bath railway line

It's muddy in January - but rideable on a gravel bike.

Believe this is part of the road cyclist skip of the Bristol part of the cycle path, and while it's nice, the roads to get here certainly aren't, I'd avoid except around sunrise and sunset in the summer months.

Warmley Forest Park is a 27-hectare park in Warmley, South Gloucestershire, England. It is situated on the site of former extensive clay quarrying, and until recently it lay derelict. However, it has since been developed into a popular spot for walking, running, and dog walking. The park has a variety of habitats, including woodland, grassland, and ponds, and is home to a range of wildlife, including birds, bats, and insects. There are also a number of historical features in the park, including the remains of a former railway line and a disused quarry. Warmley Forest Park is open to the public all year round and is free to enter. There is a small car park located at the entrance to the park, and there are also a number of public footpaths that lead to the park from nearby villages. Lovely reward for the spin to win climb from Compton Dando or Saltford. Cars should technically have no reason to come down here.

Perfect coffee and cake stop, nice café with garden (and loo when we're not so COVID) or dangle your feet over the platform edge.

Nice spot for sit down with or without coffe and cake. Theres a petrol station a minute down the road if the cafe is closed

Steep hill up from the river to the bridge. Be ready to carry your load.

A nice alternative way to go out/return from the countryside east of Bristol. My favourite as descent as you've got lovely views out in front of you and nice smooth tarmac with a few nice turns to enjoy at speed.

There is a small car park next door. Useful if you want to take young kids for a pedal up and down the path. It does have a height restriction tho so take any bikes off the roof before entry!

Brilliant community-focussed bike shop with coffee bar, always have racing on the TV and fun to hang out as well as shop.

Located directly on the Bristol to Bath Railway Path, the Warmley Waiting Room is the perfect place to rest your legs. Once the location of those traveling from Warmley station, the former waiting room has been transformed into a cafe and become a popular stop off for cyclists. You will find great coffee, tea and a range of cakes as well as meals to refuel. The cafe is open 10am - 4pm Monday to Friday and until 5pm on weekends.

Friendly and knowleagable staff, great range of goodies, wish I had a bigger basket.
