An impressive large bridge far away from civilization.

It is worth taking a short break on this bridge and looking into the narrow Kaiserklamm gorge.

Be careful, the Elendsattel is closed every year between Kloo-Ascher-Tal and Valepp from April 15th to May 15th so that the grouse can breed there undisturbed. Unfortunately, I didn't know this and had to take a detour via the Ackernalm – 10 km and 400 meters of elevation gain, plus the ascent to the Ackernalm, all on the paved toll road. Nobody needs tar.

Even if you don't hike into the gorge, it's still worth taking a look from the bike path. A photo stop should be included here. According to the information above, Emperor Franz Joseph (after whom the gorge is named) is said to have enjoyed and observed the work of the cattle grazing here and also went hunting here.
