The Puchberg am Schneeberg spa park is a lovingly maintained, green oasis in the heart of the village – ideal for a relaxing break before or after a hike. You can catch the Salamander train at the station in Puchberg. The train covers 1,200 vertical meters and arrives at Austria's highest train station at 1,795 meters above sea level.

Finding parking spaces for a tour start is not easy in Puchberg, but there is almost always a parking space at the Schneebergbahnen

The Puchberg am Schneeberg train station is the terminus of the standard-gauge express train from Wiener Neustadt and at the same time the starting point for the narrow-gauge rack railway to the Hochschneeberg, from where, in good weather, there is a view far beyond Lake Neusiedl to the Pannonian Plain. The cog railway on the Hochschneeberg is one of the three still existing cog railways in Austria.
