Scotney Castle is an English country house with formal gardens south-east of Lamberhurst in the valley of the River Bewl in Kent, England. It belongs to the National Trust.
Water bus/taxi takes bikes too. We rode 5.75 miles then called and they picked us up in 5 mins, amazing service and £3 each person. Service runs 9am -5pm.
At the back exit of Bateman's and therefore worth visiting even if you are not visiting the park and the house. We walked a very long way around the grounds - the only benches were here 😳
You might suddenly feel lost, narrow lanes and muddy. Once you get past that muddy bit and persevere you will find a winding road without anything build around the area. …
