Founded in 597 AD by St. Augustine, Canterbury Cathedral is one of the oldest and most iconic Christian structures in England. Located in Canterbury, Kent, the cathedral is the seat of the Archbishop of Canterbury, the head of the Anglican Communion. A UNESCO World Heritage Site, the cathedral is known for its beautiful Gothic architecture, impressive stained glass windows, and historic role as a place of pilgrimage for Saint Thomas Becket.
