Arma Christi Cross, Wolfegg, side road towards Rötenbach, near Annaburg. The Arma Christi Cross is a folk cross type depicting the instruments of Christ's Passion (Arma Christi), such as the crown of thorns, lance, hammer, and nails. It was particularly common in Upper Swabia and the Allgäu region (Wolfegg area) during the 19th century and is often also known as a Capuchin or Passion Cross.

Along the way with a beautiful view of the Rohrsee

The Wolfegger Süh is also a 725m high viewing point with a cross and seating area that is easily accessible by bike. From here you can see large parts of Upper Swabia. There is also a boulder on the Süh from the Ice Age that was "left behind" by a glacier.

Nice hike, unfortunately poor or no signage, without navigation we would not have found it.

This museum is not a typical museum. It is quite crowded, so there is a lot to discover. And it is decorated with a lot of humor, e.g. funny information signs, a "mader" in the engine compartment. Yes, and if you are the right age you will recognize one or two things from your youth 😉

The Rohrsee is a still body of water that was formed in a dead ice hole around 16,000 years ago at the end of the last ice age. The lake drains into both the Rhine and the Danube.
