With rustic wooden benches and tables on an open gravel area, it offers a relaxed atmosphere for barbecues in the countryside. The barbecue area was created as part of a 72-hour project by the rural youth group and is still lovingly maintained today.

Anyone who misses out on this moor has only themselves to blame.

At the well-maintained campsite at Badsee, you'll find the lovingly landscaped Herzlesweg (Heart Trail). A roughly 2.5-mile circular path through the forest, it features numerous heart-shaped markers with heartfelt sayings, opportunities to play games like Heart Memory and Heart Target, and activities to get your circulation going with squats and other activities. Highly recommended; it's relaxing, touching, and fun all at the same time.

We also stopped after the last jetty today because the water was still about 15cm deep in the shallow areas (and temperatures around zero degrees). Really amazing scenery. It's a shame that the jetties weren't moved further.

On January 25, 2025, some sections of the boardwalk were not there. Large parts of the path were flooded and still partly frozen, but it is easy to fall through up to your knees. Signs prohibiting bicycles on both sides. Of course I pushed and sometimes carried my bike. At the moment I would advise against this route.

We really enjoyed this hike and our little dog Bronco had a lot of fun too! Hearts in all shapes and sizes and quotes line the hike on gravel and forest paths through meadows and forests. An ideal route with potential for discovery for an afternoon stroll. Well suited for families with strollers. In addition to heart-shaped artwork and sayings written on old roof tiles, there are even a few stations where you can actively participate, such as throwing pine cones, hammering nails in the pay station or doing a puzzle, etc.

Beautiful lake, just a pity that you can't get to it anywhere without having to pay.
