Freiburg lies on the southwest bank of the Elbe River, approximately at river kilometer 682. Within the Stade district, the town is situated quite far north. There's also a dog beach and a lifeguard on duty during the summer months. A small children's playground and a bistro are available. A large parking area, toilet facilities, and an open-air shower are also provided.
