7월 23, 2024, Erddig Hall and Gardens
Erddig is a country house and estate approximately 2 miles south of Wrexham, Wales. It is centred on a country house, which dates principally from between 1684 and 1687, when the central block was built by Joshua Edisbury, and the 1720s, when the flanking wings were added by its second owner, John Meller. It has a wonderful path around the park and estate and is well worth a stop to enjoy its beautiful gardens

Llangollen is a town and community, situated on the River Dee, in Denbighshire, Wales. Its riverside location forms the edge of the Berwyn range, and the Dee Valley section of the Clwydian Range and Dee Valley Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, with the easternmost point of the Dee Valley Way being within the town. It is a wonderful location to ride on all kinds of bikes with the canal running along Llangollen its much better to take that route as the roads are very busy.

6월 29, 2024, Llangollen Canal Path
The Llangollen Canal (Welsh: Camlas Llangollen) is a navigable canal crossing the border between England and Wales. The waterway links Llangollen in Denbighshire, north Wales, with Hurleston in south Cheshire, via the town of Ellesmere, Shropshire. The name, which was coined in the 1980s, is a modern designation for parts of the historic Ellesmere Canal and the Llangollen navigable feeder, both of which became part of the Shropshire Union Canals in 1846. The path is absolutely wonderful and can get very busy in summer holidays, especially around the tea rooms and horses that pull the canal boats. You will be asked not to ride past these points and walk past the horses.

Llangollen Bridge is built across the River Dee at the North end of the high street of Llangollen in the county of Denbighshire in North-east Wales. The Bridge is listed as one of the seven wonders of Wales and is a Grade I listed building. There has been a bridge across the Dee at Llangollen since at least 1284, though the current bridge appears to date to the 16th or 17th century when an earlier bridge was rebuilt. The current bridge has been enlarged numerous times since then, doubling in width. The bridge is still in use.

Llangollen is a stunning little town and the river bridge is a central point with sightseers watching paddlers negotiating this famous stretch of the river Dee. Lots of eating and drinking houses, shops and sights to see including the Llangollen Canal and nearby Pontcystllte Aqueduct which is a UNESCO WHS. Great place!

English Heritage maintained castle ruins sitting high on top of the hill. Like so much in the area it was destroyed in the Civil War.

9월 18, 2020, View of the River Dee from Llangollen Bridge
Llangollen Bridge is one of the Seven Wonders of Wales and was built by Bishop John Trevor c. 1345. It allowed the town to develop on both sides of the river. The bridge was widened in the 16th and 20th centuries, The river Dee rises in Snowdonia and flows through Bala Lake to Chester and out into Liverpool Bay. Until the 1950s coracle fishing was carried out on the river, especially in the Llangollen area. In recent years salmon stocks have improved and otters have returned to the river. Famous for its white water, the river has hosted many national and international canoeing competitions.
