Eastgate Street in Chester is one of the city's most iconic and historic thoroughfares. It's part of the renowned Chester Rows and features a mix of medieval and Tudor-style buildings with unique double-level shopping galleries. The street is home to the famous Eastgate Clock, an ornate timepiece mounted on the historic city walls, and is often considered the second most photographed clock in England after Big Ben.

This hotel in the heart of Chester dates back to 1865, but the site has been home to an inn since the 16th century. The hotel is known for its Tudor style, black and white half-timbered frame, and spa. It has hosted many royal visitors, including Princess Grace of Monaco, Princess Margaret, and the late Princess of Wales.

You're afforded great views across the River Dee and toward Old Dee Bridge from this cycle path along the water.

Good views onto the Chester Racecourse from NCN 568. The racecourse, known as Roodee, is the oldest racecourse still in operation.

A walk round the city walls is a worthwhile experience, giving not only good views of the centre of town, but also a number of other sights including the river, the castle and the racecourse

Dee Banks is a beautiful section of path that's brilliant for cyclists it's a 10km path that runs from garden city to Chester and beyond 😀
