A beautiful old mansion with a unique interior and a lovely garden. There's also a good café next door. Ideal for a stop.

One of the best thing about Hunmanby is the beach at Hunmanby Gap. Drive down Sands Lane and park in the field (the farmer charges a couple of pounds for the whole day). The beach is vast and generally empty. There are no annoying rules so you can take your dog, have a barbecue etc.

Built from golden stone, Sledmere House is a regal Grade I listed Georgian country house on the outskirts of Sledmere village. The house was originally built in 1751 and re-built after a fire in 1911. It has belonged to the wealthy Sykes family since its construction. The house is set amongst wonderful gardens and parkland that were designed by the prominent landscape architect Capability Brown. The walled gardens are especially beautiful and featured on the TV show, Gardeners World. Today, you can visit the house, gardens, tea rooms and farm park, and even stay the night. The gardens and cafe are open all year around Tuesday to Sunday from 10am - 5pm. The house is open from 5th April until 25th October. Tickets for adults cost £12.50. You can find more information, here: https://www.sledmerehouse.com/

Built in 1598 by Sir Henry Griffith, Burton Agnes Hall is a magnificent stately home. Still belonging to the same family, the house is brimming with interesting artefacts from contemporary furniture to tapestries, modern art, and French impressionist paintings. The house and gardens are now open to the public from 11 am to 5 pm. There is also a cafe serving delicious cakes. Entrance to the hall and gardens costs £11 per adult. Sledmere House was designed by Samuel Wyatt and Sir Christopher Sykes in the late 1700s and a truly beautiful estate for a stroll. There are entry fees for the house, but it's a great rainy day option if you're into fine antique furniture. The cafe and farm shop can be visited for free and they're open every day apart from mondays. Delicious homemade cakes as you'd expect from somewhere of this grandeur!

A tranquil and immaculate beach, suprisingly quiet part being between 2 very busy coastal areas, lovely to walk along and plenty to see considering a beach is generally made of sea and sand.
