The Diex parish church is one of the best preserved fortified churches in Carinthia and is located in the center of Diex on the southern slope of the Saualpe. It is dedicated to Saint Martin. The church was first mentioned in a Gurk land register in 1326, but its origins date back to before 1168.

The small Gothic church on the Saualpe is a wonderful place for a break. The choir dates from the 15th century, and the year 1521 can be read on the portal. If the door is locked, you can look through a peephole.
