높이 130m의 슐로스베르크(Schlossberg) 내부에는 그리펜 석회암 동굴(Griffener Tropfsteinhöhle)이 있습니다. 이 산은 황색 석회암으로 이루어져 있습니다.

그리펜 성은 중세 시대에 요새였으며 위치 때문에 함락되지 않는 요새로 여겨졌습니다.

Griffen Abbey not only houses a major exhibition on the life and work of the writer Peter Handke, who was born in Altenmarkt/Griffen, but is itself a significant exhibit. Since his first novel, "The Hornets" (1966), Handke has returned to the places of his origins, his childhood – to Griffen Abbey, the Grafenbach stream with its gorge, the fields and village of Altenmarkt, the Saualm mountain range, Lake Griffen, and, not least, the town of Griffen itself with its castle hill, ruins, and stalactite cave. As recurring settings in his literature, these places form the extended scope of the exhibition. In the area of the Jauntal bridge, the Drau River is approximately 10 to over 20 meters deep.

The Jauntal Bridge is a railway bridge over the Drava River in the Jauntal Valley. The Jauntal Bridge is located in the municipality of Ruden in Carinthia. The Jauntal Railway ran over it, connecting Bleiburg and St. Paul. After reconstruction, the bridge became part of the newly built Koralm Railway in 2023. The bridge opened to cyclists in June 2024.
