길은 짧은 구간 동안 B 80에서 벗어나 숲을 지나 나무 다리를 건넙니다

높이 130m의 슐로스베르크(Schlossberg) 내부에는 그리펜 석회암 동굴(Griffener Tropfsteinhöhle)이 있습니다. 이 산은 황색 석회암으로 이루어져 있습니다.

그리펜 성은 중세 시대에 요새였으며 위치 때문에 함락되지 않는 요새로 여겨졌습니다.

Völkermarkter Stausee는 수질이 매우 좋은 인공 댐으로 막힌 Drau 강입니다. 강둑은 대부분 제방으로 보강되어 있으며 주로 버드나무와 오리나무로 덮여 있습니다. Völkermarkter Stausee는 동식물에게 넓은 공간과 장소를 제공합니다.

Griffen Abbey not only houses a major exhibition on the life and work of the writer Peter Handke, who was born in Altenmarkt/Griffen, but is itself a significant exhibit. Since his first novel, "The Hornets" (1966), Handke has returned to the places of his origins, his childhood – to Griffen Abbey, the Grafenbach stream with its gorge, the fields and village of Altenmarkt, the Saualm mountain range, Lake Griffen, and, not least, the town of Griffen itself with its castle hill, ruins, and stalactite cave. As recurring settings in his literature, these places form the extended scope of the exhibition. The show aims to encourage visitors to rediscover Peter Handke's work against the backdrop of these locations, or conversely, to explore these places anew through his literature. www.griffen.gv.at/Peter_Handke/Ausstellung/Dauerausstellung
