리터슈타인(Ritterstein)은 600보 떨어진 곳에 있는 수백 년 된 참나무의 위치를 가리킵니다. 이 참나무는 뿌리목 둘레가 5미터이며, 문처럼 생긴 큰 구멍이 있습니다. 이 참나무는 보호받는 자연 기념물입니다(ND-7332-237 Dicke Eiche).

새로 설립된 Pfälzerwald 협회 Weidenthal 지역 그룹의 하이킹 동호회와 OG Esthal 회원들이 기념석이 있는 „Eschdler Bänk” 장소를 개선했습니다.

골트클라우스, 뮐브루너 클라우스 골트우그의 기능은 집수조와 우회 도랑을 갖춘 목재 뗏목 시스템에서 집수조였습니다. 집수조의 주요 특징은 가능한 한 많은 양의 물을 가두는 것이었습니다. 집수조는 목재 뗏목 운송 중 물을 가두고 방출하는 기능을 했습니다. 따라서 방수 구조물의 치수를 정해야 했습니다. 목재 통나무를 통과시키지 않고도 많은 양의 저장된 물을 방출할 수 있어야 했습니다. 전체 목재 화물은 우회 도랑을 통해 우그를 우회하여 운송되었습니다.

The Wassertalbrunnen fountain complex was redesigned in 2020 by the team led by A. Kuhn from Esthal. They also installed the signpost at the top of the road from Elmstein to Weidenthal.

Wonderful rest area, plenty of seating, a nicely decorated shelter including a well-stocked liquor cabinet and a trash can (you could also dispose of empty bottles here 👆). We spent a lovely break there.

Each of these war memorials/memorials, which the walker or hiker encounters in almost every town – and not only in Germany – serves as a powerful reminder to every generation of the importance of preserving peace. In a speech on the occasion of the National Day of Mourning in 2009, then-Federal President Horst Köhler expressed it as follows: "For the compassionate remembrance of the victims of war and violence is not merely a private need of families and friends. Compassionate remembrance concerns and sustains our entire nation. How we treat our dead says much about us. Our nation also needs remembrance to keep alive the memory of the lessons we Germans have learned from our history and to continue to heed these lessons." (H. Köhler)
