small, very beautiful park with numerous benches, a small pond and a globe sundial (quite rare in the Palatinate)

It's worth taking a bike ride through the town and checking out the many preserved historic buildings. For geocachers, there's also a lab cache trail that leads through the town.

An ancient plane tree with a 6m trunk circumference and 20m height, it is therefore a natural monument. It stands at the top of the cellar garden, but outside the park's fence.

Beautiful and well-kept place to pause.

From there look over Dirmstein. Very beautiful view.

In 1609 the Bishop of Worms made Dirmstein his summer residence. Noble gentlemen now took up residence in Dirmstein and built magnificent houses. A customs house was built at the upper gate and occupied. It can be assumed that the current building was destroyed in the Palatinate War of Succession in 1697, when Dirmstein was reduced to rubble and ashes. There were 5 remaining houses. The end of customs in Dirmstein is probably towards the end of the 18th century, at the time of Napoleon Bonaparte's sacrilege.
