The rock village of Freienfels is a picturesque district of the town of Hollfeld. The village is dominated by the imposing rock castle, which sits atop a dolomite cliff. It was originally built as a fortress in the 14th century. Today it is privately owned, but in the summer it serves as an atmospheric stage for the Franconian Theater Summer. There are currently plans to convert parts of the castle into a museum. The village is a popular starting point for hikes.

The town fortifications of Weismain represent a significant historical feature of the town. Approximately three-quarters of them are preserved and encircle the historic town center in a striking ring. The construction of the town wall likely took place shortly after Weismain was granted town status in 1313. The core of the current structure dates from the 14th century. In the 15th century, the fortifications were expanded, particularly with the construction of the town moat and its retaining walls. Further renovations and reinforcements were carried out in the 18th century. The wall consists primarily of local sandstone ashlar masonry, which gives the town its characteristic appearance.

The two approximately 500-year-old linden trees are located on the road from Hollfeld to Drosendorf, at the plot of land known as "Bei den drei Kreuzen" (At the Three Crosses). Several hiking trails also pass by here, so the rest area is regularly used not only by cyclists but also by hikers who enjoy resting in the shade of the two mighty trees. Between the trees, there is also an old stone crucifix and a wayside shrine dating from the 18th/19th century.

The neighboring malthouse and the factory owner's villa, which are reflected in the dammed water, are particularly beautiful.

Weismain has a pretty town center, which is currently under construction

The market town of Wonsees belongs to the Kasendorf administrative community. It has a population of 1,133. The mayor is Andreas Pöhner. The Franconian Marienweg (Mary's Trail) runs through Wonsees, but numerous other hiking trails also attract tourists. Popular destinations include the Sanspareil Rock Garden and Zwernitz Castle.
