The market square in Wasserliesch is one of the starting points for the hike on the Moselsteig side trail "Wasserliescher Panoramasteig". There is ample parking available.

The site is accessible 24 hours a day, all year round. You can reach the temple district from the town of Tawern by following the signs to a car park with space for around ten vehicles. From there, a forest service road continues, which passes the temple district after around 800 metres.

Bronze sculptures of the “Schellenmann” and the “Fährmann” – form the center of the place. Schellenmann and Fährmann shaped village life until the early 1960s. The bell man was the village's means of communication; he announced the news throughout the town, including joys and sorrows, and made himself heard with his large village bell. The ferryman transported people and vehicles from the Reinig district across the Moselle to Igel with his ferries “Aachen” and “Pont”.
