At the beginning of March it was still very idyllic and quiet.

The Loibersbacher Höhe in the Osterhorn Group is located at an elevation of approximately 1,456 meters and is a popular destination for hikers. The ascent takes you through open meadows and rustic alpine pastures. At the top, you'll enjoy unobstructed views of the surrounding mountains, such as the Schafberg and Schlenken. The area is also ideal for snowshoe hikes and ski touring in winter.

An alpine hut like you'd only dream of. From cheese dumpling soup to traditional snacks, the Mittereggalm has everything a hiker's heart desires. Insider tip: Order the cheese dumplings the day before and enjoy them on the sun terrace with a fantastic panorama.

Very nice, uncomplicated hike. Good shoes and a snack and you're ready to go.👌

Giving a tip for the photo window is nonsense, but if anyone needs one - stand there, grin and that's it.

Beautiful ascent path - for those who are not sure-footed, a forest path can also be taken to the summit.
