자전거 도로 바로 옆에 두 개의 벤치와 테이블이 있는 휴식 공간이 있습니다. 식생이 시야를 가리기 때문에 더 이상 연못을 볼 수 없습니다.

황량한 곳 한가운데 있는 작은 예배당... 여기서 잠시 쉬어가기 아주 좋습니다. 아쉽게도 벤치는 없지만, 시원한 그늘을 제공하는 나무들이 여러 그루 있습니다. 예배당으로 가는 길은 잔디 포석으로 되어 있으며, 바로 옆에는 자전거를 세워둘 수 있도록 다른 돌들이 박혀 있습니다.

Trier artist Gerhard Freising won the "Design of a Sculpture in the City Park" art competition against six competitors. With his lighthouse, he takes up and continues the "tradition of towers in the city of Erding," the artist writes in his explanation. The tower will consist of an 11.5-meter-high steel frame, into which Plexiglas panels will be inserted, onto which transparent, fluorescent panels will be glued. Inside, there will be three benches, designed for communication and relaxation. The tower will be erected at the southern entrance to the park. All works can be viewed at the Erding Museum until Sunday, December 15, from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.

Zeno was elected Bishop of Verona around 362. Legend praises his care for the poor and sick. Zeno earned his living by catching fish from the Adige River. St. Corbinian of Freising was among the first devotees of Zeno in our country. Zeno is depicted as a bishop in pontifical robes, holding a book and a staff. He also holds a fishing rod and two fish (unlike St. Ulrich, who is usually depicted with only one fish). He is invoked for protection against floods and general dangers posed by water.

The collegiate and parish church of St. Zeno is a little gem. Originally Romanesque, it was later remodeled in the Baroque style. It's worth a stop on any bike tour, as there are many beautiful little details to discover.

The over 11-meter-tall lighthouse in Erding City Park consists of a steel frame with satin-finished Plexiglas panels. Colored fluorescent discs are arranged on the panels. Benches are provided in the tower for relaxation. The tower was created by Trier artist Gerhard Freising. It has stood at the southern entrance to Erding City Park since December 2018.

Shining Tower
