Unfortunately, the fountain was dismantled in 2024 due to the construction of the new main square. Although a new fountain was erected, it cannot compare to the Kilian Fountain, which had long been a prominent feature of the cityscape.

Crossing the Leopold Helbich Bridge, cyclists are treated to impressive views of the town of Grein, with its striking Greinburg Castle, the parish church, and the historic town houses on the banks of the Danube. The Danube Bridge connects Upper Austria with Lower Austria and is part of the popular Danube Cycle Path. From here, Grein's picturesque setting—nestled between the Danube and the hilly landscape—is a perfect spot for a short rest or photo stop during your bike ride.

From the History The parish of Stephanshart (originally "St. Stephan am Hart") is - like many Stephan parishes in Lower and Upper Austria - one of the oldest parishes founded in Passau in the first half of the 11th century. It encompassed the territory of the later parishes of Sindelburg, Oed, Zeillern, Markt and Stift Ardagger, as well as Kollmitzberg and Neustadtl. In 1049, the territory of Stift Ardagger, including Markt Ardagger, Kollmitzberg, and probably also Neustadtl, was separated from it. New Parish Church: The new church is a clearly structured building with a spacious nave and narrow side aisles. The tower with a pyramidal roof, located to the east, crowns the main entrance. The artistic furnishings were largely taken from the old church; the choir wall features a sgraffito by Robert Herfert from 1959. Since 2007, the so-called Olympia organ (built in 1964) from Wilten Abbey, with its more than 3,100 pipes, has been located in the Stephanshart parish church.

Zeillern Castle was built on the ruins of a medieval moated castle, first mentioned in 1052 in connection with a "Chuno von Cidelaren." In 1605, Wolf Friedrich Freiherr von Tattenbach acquired the property, remodeled it in the Renaissance style, and gave it its characteristic appearance, which remains to this day.
