파테르 다미아안의 2미터 높이 나무 조각상은 2013년 8월 22일 다미아안 다리 서쪽에 설치되었으며 하흐트 출신의 리제트 크레센스가 기증했습니다. 이 조각상은 볼프스동크 출신의 예술가가 제작했습니다. 출처: https://www.tremelo.be/product/2172/15-standbeeld-damiaan-damiaanbrug 자전거 및 보행자 다리 자체는 2012년에 사용되기 시작했으며 닌데의 다미아안 박물관 근처(도로 끝)에 있습니다. 다리로 연결된 두 개의 데일 제방은 파테르 다미아안다이크(닌데 쪽)와 시프스트레커스다이크(하흐트 쪽)라고 불립니다. 다리 근처에서 그로테 라크가 데일 강으로 흘러 들어갑니다. 그곳은 아르쇼트 근처에서 데머 강에서 갈라져 나온 강으로, 라크라고도 알려져 있으며 이전에는 미츠호벤세 라크라고 불렸습니다.

The Heimolen is a post mill dating from 1662, located on Windmolenstraat in Gijmel/Langdorp, Aarschot, and is owned by Natuurpunt. It is one of the last 130 wooden windmills remaining in Flanders. What makes it special is that it has remained in the same location since its inception and has never been destroyed by fire or war. The current structure of the Heimolen is almost entirely original. The fact that the mill has never been thoroughly renovated is evident not only from inscriptions inside the mill but also from various historical documents. Moreover, the mill itself reveals its origins: it is one of the very few windmills with a straight chapel roof – after 1700, curved chapel roofs were common everywhere. The mill is open to the public: All year round, every 2nd and 4th Sunday from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM. The mill is open on these days, but not in operation. During these hours, visits and tours of the Heimolen are free. For tours outside of these hours, you can make an appointment with one of the volunteers. The Bailey-style Soldiers' Bridge wasn't built over the Demer during the war, but in the 1950s. It doesn't really matter, but we're still grateful to Sir Bailey for his valuable, durable bridges.

A beautifully paved towpath allows you to fully enjoy the meandering Demer River. Be aware that it can get quite busy here at times. Courtesy is therefore essential. Enjoy together, each at your own pace.
