Poilvache 유적지는 우리 시대의 첫 세기부터 침입하는 야만인에 대한 방어 시설로 사용되었을 수 있습니다. 이 요새는 1228년에는 확실히 존재했으며, 당시에는 주변을 둘러싼 짙은 녹색 숲 덕분에 "chastiau d'émeraude"(에메랄드 성)라는 시적인 이름으로 기록에 등장했습니다. 시간이 지나면서 이름은 Méraude로 단축되었고, 마침내 (13세기 후반에) 다소 기이한 이름인 Poilvache(소털)를 얻게 되었습니다. 이 이름은 적들이 살아있는 소 떼 사이에 소 가죽을 뒤집어쓰고 숨어 요새에 침입하는 계략에서 유래했을 수 있습니다. 역사상 절정기에 Poilvache는 58개의 봉신 지구에 대한 사법권을 가졌으며, 주화 발행권을 가진 조폐국도 있었습니다. 1421년 부르고뉴 공작 필리프 선량공은 당시 Poilvache가 속해 있던 남부르 백작령을 구매했습니다. Poilvache는 1430년 디낭, 후에, 리에주 출신 음모자들에 의해 파괴되었습니다.

The Priory of Anseremme originated from a farm belonging to the Abbey of Saint-Hubert, founded in the early 9th century and remodeled in the 16th and 17th centuries. The buildings of Le Prieuré were used by the abbey. Today, the premises are available for rent for weddings and celebrations.

We were very rudely approached and chased off the property as we were leaving. The access situation was unclear to us; all the gates were wide open and inviting. It wasn't clear to us that it was private property; it felt very public. Under no circumstances should we enter. The owner is insulted and argues, and lacks empathy and humanity!

Not entirely privately owned, but it is rented out to wedding parties. Depending on the party, you'll be evicted from the premises in a more or less unfriendly manner.

Beautiful castle, worth a detour

Privately owned. Visitors are not permitted, nor are the gardens accessible.

Crupet Castle is located in a magnificent setting. It features several groups of buildings constructed at different times. The castle has been beautifully restored and is well worth a visit.
