The pilgrimage chapel in the district of Sankt Johann, 2.5 km north of the monastery of Sankt Thomas, on the eastern bank of the Kyll, was first mentioned in 1380. The beautiful and well-kept Lourdes Grotto was built in 1934 and extensively restored in 2010. Concrete and joint work was started, and a new 75-meter protective fence was erected.
