The walls mainly seem to be an experimental space for local, unknown graffiti artists (for which they are of course intended). Apparently these walls are not yet well known among street art artists. The site is not even included on the reference site for legal graffiti walls: https://www.legal-walls.net/

Work by DZIA, an Antwerp street artist who clearly has a preference for foxes and birds (and sometimes playfully combines both). Here a chicken appears to be catapulting her own egg. More information: www.dzia.be

De Laarkapel in schelle The tour of the Laarkapel depicts the seven sorrows of Mary. The place of worship, dedicated to the Mother of Sorrows, dates back to the 16th century, until 1831 the chapel was the private property of the owners of the Laarhof Castle!

The striking gatehouse is the only remaining remnant of the Laarhof, which dates from the Spanish period. The memorial stone 1931 refers to Mr Ravenstijn who had the building restored. The coat of arms, with 3 pile drivers, can also be processed above the Poortgebouw. Striking are the 2 turrets that each have a characteristic shape. On one there is a pear on the other an apple... that's how it is also called the castle 'between apple and pear'

Toll house with ferry service to Wintham. The ferry is widely used for commuting and recreational use on weekends. The recreation area building opposite the ferry access is the original 'Tolhuis'. In the past, tolls were paid here or taxes were levied on the transport of goods on the Rupel. It is pleasant to relax on the adjacent terraces of the adjacent catering establishments.
