The Sanremo Casino is located right at the beginning of the main shopping street. It is one of the city's most famous landmarks and a symbol of its glamorous past: opened in 1905, the Art Nouveau building impresses with its elegant facades and opulent halls.

Fort Santa Tecla, near the Sanremo pier, tells a story of a turbulent past: built by the Genoese in the 18th century, the massive fortress served to control the city and suppress uprisings. Later, it was used as a military base and prison, which explains its austere, almost intimidating character. Today, the fort is a cultural hub: exhibitions, concerts, and events bring its historic walls to life. A visit offers a unique blend of history and contemporary culture.

In August, it's nice and cool in the tunnels. Wonderful route, one of the most beautiful bike paths anywhere. You should set off early, around 8 a.m., in midsummer; there are plenty of places to stop for refreshments. Easy (or not at all) route profile. Easy rolling!
