Beautiful old post office building

A small half-timbered gem that still has a lot to do.

A very nice place to rest. A little further up, a little off the path, there's a small chapel.

Billmuthausen was first mentioned in 1340 as Billmuthehusen. The village was essentially a manor. In 1840, Billmuthausen had 14 houses, a mill, and a church; by 1850, the village had 68 inhabitants. The mill had a milling and grinding mill, its own water and electricity supply, and a bakery. In September 2005, the memorial's support association erected a three-ton millstone to commemorate the Billmuthausen Mill. The memorial has also been expanded with three new information panels. This former millstone is the only reminder of the former Billmuthausen mill. Billmuthausen was once a village directly on the border and was razed. Billmuthausen is a deserted village in the Bad Colberg district of the town of Heldburg in the Hildburghausen district of Thuringia.

In memory of the Billmuthausen Mill, the memorial's support association had a three-ton millstone erected in September 2005. The memorial has also been expanded to include three new information boards.

The history of the place Billmuthausen was first mentioned in 1340 as Billmuthehusen. Billmuthausen belonged to the Saxon district of Heldburg. In 1965 the authorities ordered the demolition of the village church, in 1977 they had the mill demolished and announced the complete evacuation of the village. The border fortifications were built right through the middle of the village. In 1978 the last family was deported and the village was razed to the ground.
