Friesenhausen Castle was built as a moated castle in the 13th/14th century.

St. John's Church (also known as St. John's) in Schweinfurt was the main church of the former Free Imperial City of Schweinfurt and is today an Evangelical Lutheran parish church located at the seat of the Evangelical Lutheran Deanery of Schweinfurt. St. John's is one of the most historically significant Protestant churches in the Franconian Main region and stands on Martin Luther Square, a prominent plaza north of the market square.
