A beautiful cobblestone path crosses the waterway connecting the Old Rhine and the Rhine. From here, you can also reach Langenau Island on foot. The current is quite impressive. In summer, you can often see kayakers here. Worth seeing even during high water.

Over 20 years ago, the city began to renature the extremely rare river valley meadows in cooperation with local farmers and various specialist authorities. Around 70 hectares of floodplain meadows were created in this way, which are among the most species-rich habitats in Central Europe. A project that has received national attention and has already received several awards. The flora of the river valley meadows has adapted perfectly to changing water levels with floods and dry periods.
