The Clauert fountain stretches across the Trebbin market square in long strips of water, broken up by small fountains. The highlight is the Clauert sculpture kneeling by the water, fishing for "fried fish".

Christoph Gramberg's bronze Clauert figure on the market square recalls the story of how the rogue supposedly found a pond in which fried fish were swimming and dripping butter melted by the sun. The Clauert figure kneeling at the fountain is fishing two fish out of the water with a pan. It is the seventh stop on the city's Clauert tour.

The town hall, built in a historicist style, was built in 1939/1940 on the site of the demolished previous building from 1797. The plans were drawn up by the Berlin architects Max Säume and Günther Hafemann. To the right of the entrance, station 9 of the city's Clauert tour, is a relief that refers to the inclusion of the checkers board in the Trebbin coat of arms.

The bronze "Clauert figure by the water" is station 7 on the Clauert circular trail and, like the statue at the Clauert House, was created by the sculptor Christoph Gramberg. This is probably about a mystical story from the childhood of the Trebbin rogue: "... I fell down into the tree with my whole body. Below I found a pond in which fried fish were swimming, and above the pond was a mountain of butter, from which the butter dripped down onto the fried fish through the warm sunshine. I ate so much of these fish that I couldn't get out of the tree again. So I ran home, got an axe and chopped myself out of the tree.
