To ensure that our lake, which went into operation in 1980, can continue to reliably fulfill its function as a flood retention basin, it was inspected and renovated by the Ansbach Water Management Office in 2024/2025, and sediment was removed in a joint effort. The flood retention basin is scheduled to be put back into operation in mid-November 2025, so that the target water level should be reached again at the beginning of the 2026 bathing season.

The Protestant St. Martin's Church was built between 1848 and 1849 for the villages of Unteraltenbernheim, Hechelbach, Limbach, and Wimmelbach, as well as the hamlets of Hörhof and Schafhof.
