The starting point of the trail leading to the Benigni refuge. The parking lot is located along the road leading to the Piani dell'Avaro; rather than a parking lot, it's a roadside parking lot. There's a toll road, and the signpost is located shortly after the town of Cusio. The daily cost is €3.

Pedalable climb up to Cosio, the last village before the 7.5 km at 9% average that lead to Piani dell’Avaro. In the final stretch panoramic hairpin bends and waterfalls. At the top I recommend the Al Ciar bar/restaurant
