뷔드너리(‘뷔데’에서 파생)는뷔드너(케트너라고도 함)의 작은 시골 저택이었습니다. 일반적으로 집, 정원, 그리고 약간의 경작지를 포함했습니다. 메클렌부르크에서는 1753년에 크리스티안 루트비히 2세 공작이 농촌 이탈과 이민에 대응하기 위해 뷔드너라는 직업을 법령으로 도입했습니다. 상속권이 없는 농부의 자녀들은 자신의 생계를 꾸릴 수 있도록 경작지를 받았습니다.

The village church in Groß Plasten is an impressive example of early 20th-century Neo-Baroque architecture. It was built between 1898 and 1901 and consecrated on December 1, 1901. The architect was Franz Schwechten, known as the "Kaiser's favorite architect," who also designed the Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church in Berlin – hence the church in Groß Plasten is sometimes referred to as its "little sister."

The estate comprises, in addition to the main castle, other buildings including a coach house (with 29 rooms in a Spanish country house style, extended in 2003), a residence, a garage, and a warehouse. The steward's house – typically the residence of the estate manager on historic properties – was located in building number 37.

Unfortunately, it is not open to the public! The Groß Gievitz manor house is a baroque manor house situated in an idyllic park. The original building probably dates from the first half of the 18th century (around 1730), while the surviving stables were built around 1700.

Do not cycle any further on that path, as indicated on Komoot, because it is a hiking trail and full of nettles when we were there.

Idyllic surroundings and a lovely view. I wouldn't drive the extra miles to this dead-end street just for the view, though, unless I wanted to stop at the lovely Müritzhof next door.
