The ancient sanctuary was built in the first half of the 13th century and is located near the Agogna stream. Legend has it that the Madonna appeared here in the 13th century to save a little girl who was about to drown in the swollen stream. It is dedicated to unborn life; in fact, mothers from the area come here to ask for a blessing for their children.

It is a small town nestled in the Monferrato hills. It is worth passing through.

the massive bell tower of the parish church of S.Valerio, visible and clearly distinguishable from all the surrounding territory; a sort of lighthouse for cyclonauts who travel through these lands. Some texts place its construction in the 15th century, others in the 12th. The round arches can actually be either Romanesque or 15th century; on the cusp the V of S.Valerio, patron saint of Occimiano.
