Fondi di Schilpario is an Alpine village located at approximately 1,250 meters above sea level in the municipality of Schilpario (BG), in the Scalve Valley. I've done it twice in the same lap, first from Desso, then after climbing Monte Pora. They're completely different. From Desso, it's long and always in double digits, with significant peaks, so take it with a pinch of salt; the other is rideable. Seeing is believing. 🚴‍♀️

To reach Montecchio di Darfo, starting from Boario, you cross the so-called "Roman bridge." It is a scenic 24-meter, single-span bridge, built from blocks of granite and Simona stone in 1686, over the remains of an older bridge that connected the medieval castle on Monticolo to the opposite bank of the river. It has been recognized as a national monument.

Beautiful village nestled in the coniferous forest. The small houses present are really well cared for, all with stone walls. Some at the time of writing are also being renovated, essential to not lose the historical traces of our territory

Nice hamlet at the start of the trails among all, for the Gleno Dam. Park early, limited spaces!
