The summit plateau of Monte Legnoncino is home to two small sacred monuments: + Firstly, a classic cross, the kind that often crowns mountain peaks. This one is built of iron framework. + Secondly, a figure of the Virgin Mary, the statue of the Mother of God is completely in white.

The trail to the refuge and the view are incredible!

The Rosalba refuge welcomes visitors with a breathtaking view of Lake Como and the Grigne. The atmosphere is quiet, although it can be very busy on weekends. It offers good food and nice rooms. Outside the refuge there are large tables where you can stop and eat. There are no fountains at the top.

Great little tour with an overwhelming natural spectacle. Absolutely worth it. And then an espresso and an ice cream in Bellano, a pretty little place by the lake.
