Varenna is the hub for ferries on Lake Como. Taking bicycles is no problem, but the seating directly at the loading ramp takes some getting used to. Prices are moderate, e.g.: Varenna-Belaggio 🧍🏻♂️+🚲=€5.60.

Wonderful place, even when the sun isn't shining. It's hard to imagine the crowds of people squeezing through here in high season

You can only book the ferry as a pedestrian via the app, as a cyclist you have to go to the terminal

Bellagio is considered the Pearl of the Lario, a village of incredible beauty and located in a corner of Lake Como unique for its beauty

Larger port of Varenna, with possibility of crossing to the Bellagio peninsula. The ambitious racing cyclists ride their bikes and not the ferry 😉. Schedule and further information: https://navigazionelaghi.it/en/tickets-and-timetables-lake-como

Beautiful old Italian town on the shores of Lake Como. It's best to lock your bike at the ferry port (where everyone can see it and it's guarded) and explore the town on foot.
