The ancient sanctuary was built in the first half of the 13th century and is located near the Agogna stream. Legend has it that the Madonna appeared here in the 13th century to save a little girl who was about to drown in the swollen stream. It is dedicated to unborn life; in fact, mothers from the area come here to ask for a blessing for their children.

Because of the shortcut we took, we passed an agriturismo with a shop selling local specialties, especially various types of rice. Another place we would have liked to stay overnight and eat, but unfortunately, we hadn't found it anywhere during our planning. They serve both lunch and dinner.

The Chiesa di San Martino Vescovo is the parish church of Tromello, located in the province of Pavia and belonging to the diocese of Vigevano.
