The "Croce di Sanfront," towering high into the sky, was built of iron framework, a construction method that has been imitated many times since Gustave Eiffel's revolutionary contribution to the World Exhibition in Paris (construction period 1887–1889). The summit cross, clearly visible from afar, dominates the landscape with its striking silhouette.

Freely accessible place with wood stove, table and chairs, so it's more of a bivouac than a refuge. It is located in the hamlet of San Bernardo di Sanfront

Large plateau that divides several hills, halfway between the Po and Varaita valleys, also reachable by bike on comfortable dirt roads. A gazebo with a roof is present and useful as a shelter in case of bad weather

Also reachable by motorbike or off-road vehicle. There is also a covered picnic area
