The Lerici Castle was built starting from 1152 and underwent numerous transformations by the Maritime Republics. It appears as a polygonal fortification that stands in a dominant position on the rocky promontory of the Lerici inlet.

In the ancient village of Lerici lies a small treasure of faith and art: the Oratory of San Rocco. Dating back to the 13th century, this religious building stands in the old part of the historic center and was initially dedicated to Saints Martin and Christopher, as commemorated by a plaque near the bell tower. The building, originally erected on the ruins of a pilgrim hospital, was changed to honor Saint Rocco following an epidemic of plague.

the descent between Zanego and Tellaro is in many places impervious and landslide-prone. Access to the beach below is prohibited

Nice little cafe with a great view from the terrace. Perfect for a little break with a refreshment.

After three oysters at the fixed kiosk at the port we stopped at the L'Anchora restaurant in Lerici where we ate very well with fair prices given the location and very friendly managers.... recommended
