Bivacco Col Mont (or Baita Col Mont), is a rustic and comfortable alpine shelter located on a splendid grassy plateau at an altitude of 1854 meters, on the slopes of the Cime d'Auta. A popular destination for valley dwellers, it is an excellent base for hikers heading to or coming to Forcella dei Negher or the Lach dei Negher and for those who venture along the Alta Via dei Pastori. The hut, one of the most historic in the entire territory, served as a support for haymaking (Col Mont means clean and mown hill, free from the woods). It is equipped with 4 beds, an economic stove, a large fireplace and a nice wooden table.
