Between St. Peter in der Au and Weistrach lies a very special Heuriger: "Zur Steinernen Birne" (Steinern's Pear), owned by the Oberaigner-Binder family. Its trademark? A giant stone pear that you walk through – a real eye-catcher and a photo opportunity you won't soon forget. We have stopped by the main square several times on our bike rides - the impressive theatre grandstand was either being dismantled or (now) being rebuilt - I have only seen it finished in photos on the internet.

The guesthouse is apparently no longer accessible for day visitors - according to the homepage, it is only accessible for larger groups with advance reservation.
