Between St. Peter in der Au and Weistrach lies a very special Heuriger: "Zur Steinernen Birne" (Steinern's Pear), owned by the Oberaigner-Binder family. Its trademark? A giant stone pear that you walk through – a real eye-catcher and a photo opportunity you won't soon forget. Inside, a rustic, lovingly designed ambiance awaits you: a barrel-shaped floor, a baron's trüberl (baron's trüberl), a chicken garden, and cozy dining rooms invite you to linger. Small but nice museum in the center

We have stopped by the main square several times on our bike rides - the impressive theatre grandstand was either being dismantled or (now) being rebuilt - I have only seen it finished in photos on the internet.

The guesthouse is apparently no longer accessible for day visitors - according to the homepage, it is only accessible for larger groups with advance reservation.

The path from the Elisabethwarte is a very nice, easy gravel/forest path, which is even signposted as a "children's MTB path". At the Mostbrunnen you can buy drinks and enjoy a beautiful view over the town of Kürnberg.

From the lookout point there is a wonderful view towards the south. The view to the north can already be seen on the way up from Goldberg.

The off-road path begins at Goldberg as a gravel road and then develops into a proper MTB path as a meadow/field path. The climb is divided into stages, with flatter sections in between for catching your breath and enjoying the view. At the top at the last house, a flat stretch of road begins - here you can decide: Go straight up to the left in the really steep, rough terrain (difficult part included here) or stay on the road and make the curve via Kürnberg up to the Elisabethwarte.
