The Cathedral of San Giovanni Battista - Built starting in the 11th century and consecrated in 1535, the cathedral stands on the ruins of an ancient Roman temple dedicated to Mars. The building has undergone several renovations over the centuries, but a major restoration between 1921 and 1924 restored its original appearance. Inside, valuable works by artists such as Pomponio Amalteo and Jacopo Palma the Younger are preserved.

The Church of San Silvestro Papa in Cimadolmo was rebuilt after the First World War, designed by architect Luigi Candiani, following the destruction of the previous place of worship during the First World War. The single-chamber building is oriented east-west, with an entrance to the east. In addition to the four side chapels, a chapel dedicated to Our Lady of Lourdes was built in 1926 to the right of the presbytery. Rebuilt after the previous chapel was destroyed during the bombings, it features an artificial reproduction of the rock walls of a cave.

3월 9, 2025, Duomo di San Giovanni Battista
Begun around the 11th century and consecrated in 1535 to St. John the Baptist, it was built on the ruins of an ancient temple dedicated to Mars that had been transformed into a cathedral for the ancient diocese of Oderzo. The original appearance, in Romanesque-Gothic style, has been heavily compromised by renovations carried out over the centuries. The last major restoration, commissioned by Monsignor Domenico Visintin, dates back to 1921-1924 and restored, as far as possible, the ancient conformation of the building. Wikipedia

This chapel was destroyed during a flood of the Piave river in 1344 and was then rebuilt together with the village near the locality of Ulmo; the area then began to be known by the name of Cima di Ulmo and then as Cimadolmo. In 1567 a new flood of the Piave razed the church to the ground; the village was rebuilt in another position and the new church was built around 1660. From a description of the church dated 1670 we learn that it had four altars.

The church is located a few kilometers from San Polo di Piave, in the direction of Oderzo, surrounded by vineyards and cultivated fields. It was built near the ancient Roman road that from Oderzo went up the Piave towards Feltre and Trento. The town of San Giorgio was in fact born along the ancient route of the Opitergium-Tridentum, a very important road built in pre-Roman times by the Paleoveneti. Inside it preserves splendid frescoes from the 1400s among which a very special Last Supper stands out. The archaeological finds made during the restoration work have shown that the town of San Giorgio was already inhabited in Roman times. The remains of an aqueduct were found nearby and it is assumed that the area was an agricultural territory assigned to the veterans of the Roman army. It seems that San Giorgio, a warrior saint, became the patron saint of this church through the Lombards.

11월 16, 2024, Borgo Malanotte
Borgo Malanotte can be considered a true open-air museum, an oasis of peace in the countryside of the Piave plain. It takes its name from an ancient family of wealthy wool merchants, the “Malanotti” or “Malenotti”, originally from Caldès, in Val di Sole (Trentino). The origins of Borgo Malanotte are very remote: the first attestation of the existence of this inhabited center dates back to 1400. It is indicated as property of the “Bonoti de la Campagna” family, who lived there practicing the grain and household goods trade. This ancient residential nucleus was a fortified place located on the road that led to the Guado di Lovadina, a fundamental crossing point of the Piave at the time, and was frequented since its origins by merchants, men-at-arms and pilgrims who gave an initial impulse to the economic development of the village.

11월 16, 2024, Chiesa di San Giuseppe
Located in the district of the same name, it was originally an oratory dedicated to the SS. Annunziata, probably built in the 15th century. The oratory was later transformed into a church at the beginning of the 1700s, with the dedication to San Giuseppe. It was once very popular, especially during the festival, which took place annually in the district and for the curiosity aroused by an evocative nativity scene preserved there.
