Pedaling on this road you can see the village of Montepagano above, famous for its medieval village that still retains the charm of ancient stone buildings. The village is characterized by narrow streets, small squares and a panoramic view of the Adriatic Sea and the surrounding hills.

Montepagano is the oldest hamlet of Roseto degli Abruzzi, it dominates from the hill facing the city and is also considered its historical and panoramic center.

The Borsacchio Reserve is located in the municipality of Roseto degli Abruzzi and was established in 2005. It includes a stretch of beach between the hamlet of Cologna and Roseto Nord and the hills above. The area is approximately 1100 hectares. There are numerous species of plants and animals present. The Reserve is managed by the Borsacchio Reserve Guides association. An environmental heritage to be protected.

A precious place for biodiversity, this reserve is the habitat for 120 species of plants, many of which are rare in Abruzzo. The reserve is located between the sea and the hills and is a truly suggestive place. Excursions by bike or on foot allow you to better explore this reserve, guided tours are also organised.

The village of Montepagano is the oldest fraction of Roseto degli Abruzzi. The name has its origins in the two words "mons" and "pagus", Latin words meaning village on the mountain.
