Beautiful view of Moneglia and the Levante coast

I have tried several times to upload photos of the many excursions we have done but Komoot does not publish them while I believe that unlike the comments the most eloquent things are the photos and not the comments. However the trail is really beautiful and well maintained and was very much appreciated by the whole group. Highly recommended

The current church was built with a single nave in 1725 on the remains of the previous structure that collapsed for unknown reasons. In the third altar on the right side there is a statue of the Immaculate Conception, attributed to Anton Maria Maragliano, in the fourth altar on the left a Byzantine crucifix and a canvas depicting the Madonna delle Grazie. The work Ultima cena, preserved in the sacristy, is by the local painter Luca Cambiaso. In the façade, in Baroque style, two links of the Pisan port chain are visible on the right side; according to historical sources, these objects were stolen, as a sort of "war trophy", by Trancheo Stanco from Moneglia in 1284 during the battle of Meloria between the Genoese and Pisan fleets, which saw the former victorious.

Water and mountains always go...

The Comunaglia ridge connects Moneglia with Mount Comunaglia. It is a rather steep route, but extremely scenic. The route intersects with other routes, including the Via della Costa and the Sentiero Liguria.

Mt. Crocetta offers no view at the cross itself, 300 m up the ridge there is a place that invites you to take a break. I came from the Via Aureglia along the trail around the mountain and then drove about 150 m uphill to Mt. Crocetta. Experienced e-bikers can ride most things (dry), and it's even fun. Difficulty S2. Then take the path at the cross towards Moneglia. S2

From the verdant and luxuriant Ligurian coast, you can admire the Bay of Monegia from above.
